You know, every so often I think that I should write down all of the dorky or awkward things I do on a daily basis just so I can look back and laugh at them later. You know, the instances where I said something stupid (for instance, when I implied that teaching high schoolers for a long time probably would make someone mentally imbalanced to my sophomore English teacher’s kid), tripped, moved, didn’t get something, didn’t notice something about what I was wearing, or some of the other mildly embarrassing moments that mean nothing by themselves but, when clumped together, threaten to make my entire time at school on long embarrassing moment. But I’m sure there will be someone to remind me of them if I can’t recall them, so it’s kind of pointless. A list to show the disbelievers exactly how socially inept I am might come in handy, though. . .

The premiere of Buffy was last night. It was a lot better than I expected. There was a great fight scene, and Dawn didn’t whine that much. Giles’ and Willow’s scenes were fairly boring, but even those were worth it, if only for the ‘it’s not an addiction’ line. I absolutely hated the magic is crack! storyline from last year because it completely contradicted the portrayal of magic in the first five seasons and never explained why Tara and other characters could use magic, but Willow can’t. Sure, this explanation of magic completely contradicted season six’s, but I’m willing to live with that. Oh yeah: Giles. On a horse. Hee. The new principal isn't half bad, either. Hopefully this season won’t crash and burn like season six. Maybe. Hey, a girl can hope.

Had the informational meeting for the school’s literary/arts publication today. Pretty much stayed a half hour later than usual for them to tell us that we wouldn’t be doing anything until second semester. Hmmph.
