Today was one of those days where I had to run for the bus to be able to catch it. I’m lazy and don’t really feel the need to get to school early if I have nothing to do, so I didn’t bother. Besides, there was the chance I’d catch the bus anyway-that is, unless the bus driver made an illegal turn on red, which is what he did. Half a block later the bus broke down. Now, there are a few things you can do in this situation:
1. Point.
2. Laugh.
Which is exactly what I did. I feel like I beat the (public transportation) system. Except for the fact that I had nothing to do with the bus breaking down and it didn’t affect the time I had for the next train, but we can just ignore the facts now. It still filled me with revengy smugness. Ha, take that, CTA!
Today seemed rather short. Two of my classes were subbed, so there were two less lectures than usual. Marisol’s class during my free period was cancelled, so I spent the period talking to her instead of sleeping/catching up on my work. It was pretty nice and not stressful, and I think I would have appreciated it more if I wasn’t half asleep the entire day.
